“Impressions of Siena” Children’s Art Gallery Opens at St. Rose

As reported in today’s Henderson Press, a new children’s art gallery, “Impressions of Siena,” presented by the city of Henderson and St. Rose Dominican Hospitals-Siena Campus, has opened at our Siena Campus.

Margo Sak, with City of Henderson, hangs exhibit photos.
The gallery’s first exhibit in a hospital features 32 works of art created by students at B. Mahlon Brown Junior High School and will remain on display until April 25 when a new exhibit by students will debut. The exhibit features works of art created with charcoal, oil and soft pastels, and collage.
“The city’s collaboration with community partners such as St. Rose Dominican Hospitals enables us to showcase and celebrate the work of talented young Henderson artists,” said Mayor Andy Hafen.

“This is our first gallery to be located inside a hospital, where these colorful and lively creations will bring a sense of joy to many people. It’s a unique way to make art accessible to more people in our community.”

‘Impressions of Siena’ is located on the third floor lobby at 3001 St. Rose Pkwy. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Daily admission is complimentary.

The city also hosts and curates the four other galleries throughout the city, displaying the work of adult and child artists.
