St. Rose NICU Reunion

The wind couldn’t stop the fun this weekend at the first annual NICU reunion — held Sunday May 15. It was a huge success!

The reunion was for the parents and children who have been cared for in the hospitals’ Level II and III NICUs. The reunion allowed St. Rose NICU caregivers to meet with families, listen to stories, share experiences, interact with past neonates, and learn. Parents get to share their St. Rose NICU experiences, give suggestions, network and reconnect with the staff in a very relaxed setting. An estimated 450 moms, dads, babies and siblings celebrated with us!

Thank you to all who donated time and items: Walmart Super Center – 2 HUGE sheet cakes, ice and 13 volunteers; Panda Express (through Panda Gives), 450 box lunches w/fortune cookies & volunteers; Sam’s Club, 45 cases of water; Children’s Miracle Network; and many more!

We also received some really nice coverage – thank you to the Las Vegas Sun. A link to their story on the event, and a photo, is below.
