Dairy Queen® to Make Miracles in Las Vegas on Fifth Annual Miracle Treat Day

Dairy Queen® to Make Miracles in Las Vegas on Fifth Annual Miracle Treat Day

St. Rose Dominican Hospitals to benefit from Blizzard® treat sales on Thursday, August 5

It might be hot outside but there’s a blizzard brewing at DQ® Orange Julius® at Town Square. The sweet treat spot is celebrating Miracle Treat Day on August 5 and will donate a portion of every Blizzard® treat sold to St. Rose Dominican Hospitals, one of 170 Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. Children’s Miracle Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children’s hospitals.

In addition, DQ® Orange Julius® will host a Blizzard eating contest at 11:30 a.m. on August 5 to raise awareness for Children’s Miracle Network. The person who eats the most Oreo® Brownie Earthquake® Blizzard will have a Blizzard named after him or her and receive a free Blizzard each month for a year. Those interested can sign up in person at Dairy Queen, located downstairs from Blue Martini and across from the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at Town Square.

Las Vegas area Dairy Queens have been supporters of Children’s Miracle Network since 2006.

“Every summer, the entire community looks forward to Miracle Treat Day when we turn Blizzard treats into smiles for the kids at the hospitals that really need our support,” said Charles Singer, Dairy Queen franchisee.

The Dairy Queen system is one of the top 10 contributors to Children’s Miracle Network having raised more than $81 million since 1984. Last year on Miracle Treat Day, participating Dairy Queen locations throughout the U.S. and Canada raised $4.6 million for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals in local communities.
